Introducing the Zeiss Cincraft Scenario Base Bundle

The CinCraft Scenario Base Bundle is a package that includes only the minimum equipment necessary for tracking in any environment. It includes the CinCraft Origin and the CinCraft CamBar, as well as basic accessories such as a carrying case, calibration charts, filters, power cables, and /i and XD encoding cables for interfacing with compatible lenses. The package also includes five 6cm circular marker sheets for the CinCraft Scenario system.

Anywhere and at any time

Discover the only real-time camera tracking system that works indoors and outdoors, on film sets, with green or blue screens, and in LED volumes. It uses natural markers, reflective markers, and even digital markers on LED screens. It provides camera tracking data for real-time use and saves it for post-production. It incorporates lens characteristics to eliminate the time-consuming process of lens calibration.

Indoors? Outdoors? It doesn’t matter!

The Zeiss CinCraft Scenario performs equally well in natural environments and on traditional film sets. With distinct operating modes that excel in each situation, users can easily choose the mode best suited to their project. No other system offers such flexibility.

Tracking technique #1: Natural tracking

The greatest strength of CinCraft Scenario is its « natural tracking. » This allows the system to be used anywhere there is sufficient detail in the surrounding space, such as brick walls, window frames, and more. This is particularly useful outdoors or when filming on sets not designed for virtual production (backdrops, cycloramas, etc.).

Tracking technique #2: Tracking reflective markers

The CinCraft Scenario can track non-randomly placed reflective markers. The system’s infrared (IR) emitter allows markers to be seen even in the darkest scenes, and the markers’ uniformity ensures optimal operational tracking. Furthermore, the CinCraft Scenario software provides an interactive guide to ensure optimal marker placement during setup.

Tracking technique #3: Digital marker tracking

Thanks to a powerful synchronization function, the CinCraft Scenario is able to work in harmony with the Frame Remapping technologies used on LED walls. By using a different frame rate than the camera, it allows the markers to be desynchronized from the main camera’s frame rate and thus not appear in the final image.

VFX, live composition, or virtual production?

The CinCraft Scenario provides camera tracking data for use in all major applicationswhether real-time workflow or post-productionadding an extra layer of flexibility.

Case study #1: Traditional VFX

CinCraft Scenario allows you to record camera tracking data during production and transfer it to post-production. Having quick and easy access to tracking data in post-production can significantly reduce workflow, especially in matchmaking. This means that camera tracking is now a major advantage for all productions involving visual effects.

Case study #2: Live compositing

Whether for live video compositing or in a virtual studio, the CinCraft Scenario provides real-time camera tracking data to seamlessly replace green or blue screen during filming. For these applications, knowing the camera’s position and movement is not just a bonus, but a necessity!

Case study #3: Virtual Production

As with live compositing, camera tracking is an absolute necessity for virtual LED volume production. Understanding how the camera and lens move and behave is essential for accurately rendering visual effects in real time, which means achieving correct perspective and parallax.

Simple and intuitive operation!

The CinCraft Scenario provides a user experience designed to match the workflow of the film crew. It works with standardized equipment and is natively compatible with major camera and lens encoding systems to provide all the data the system needs for proper tracking.

Virtual Lens Package (VLP)

ZEISS Virtual Lens Packs (or VLPs) are licensed packages containing all the necessary lens calibration information for optimal performance. This means users can simply mount the lens on their camera, specify the desired focal length in the software, and be up and running in no time.

Ready to use

Integrating the ZEISS CinCraft lens characteristics database into virtual lens packs eliminates the time-consuming process of lens calibration: CinCraft Scenario is ready to use when paired with ZEISS and ARRI/ZEISS cinema lenses. However, CinCraft Scenario can be used with any lens.

Integrated tutorials and personalized training

The tutorial integrated into the CinCraft Scenario software interface guides the user through hardware setup and monitoring on a film set in any environment. Additional tutorials will assist operators unfamiliar with the system, making it easy to learn in a very short time. Furthermore, TRM Audiovisuel offers training days led by a Zeiss technician to train your teams directly at your premises.
