The Audio-Technica AT875R microphone is designed for video production and broadcast (ENG/EFP) applications . It’s the shortest shotgun microphone in the Audio-Technica range. It mounts easily and without significant added weight to a DV camcorder and is particularly well-suited for compact digital cameras. This high-performance microphone provides a narrow pickup angle in both line and gradient modes. On-axis sound is natural and smooth, with excellent off-axis rejection of sound coming from the sides and rear of the microphone.
