Introducing the IDX X10-Lite-S LED kitten
The IDX X10-Lite-S LED light mounts to a standard camera hot shoe. It provides a powerful beam that can be dimmed from 100% to 0% without affecting beam quality. The LEDs in the light are designed to last up to 50,000 hours. It is powered by Sony NP-F970 batteries (not included). You can also power the LED light from a 6-17 volt DC source using the included D-Tap connector.
The LEDs deliver 1450 lux at 1 meter, with a 90° beam angle. This allows you to illuminate a relatively large area with a single light source. For a narrower beam, you can tilt the lower barndoor upwards, adjusting the beam spread to 45°, giving you more control and less spillage. The LEDs produce light with a color temperature of 4500 K, which is roughly halfway between daylight and tungsten. The barndoors incorporate a color correction filter that you can fold in front of the light to convert the color temperature from 4500 K to 3200 K.
