Description

The AT8024 is a fixed-charge condenser microphone designed for use with digital SLR cameras and other camcorders. The AT8024 offers the option of choosing between stereo or mono modes to ensure high-resolution sound quality in all possible setups.

The AT8024 microphone is powered by a single 1.5V AA battery, included with the microphone, ensuring optimal performance with a high maximum SPL. A red/green LED indicator, located above the microphone, illuminates green when the microphone is sufficiently powered and red when the battery level is low.

In addition, the AT8024 features an attenuation pad allowing you to choose between 0dB, -10dB and -20dB, as well as an 80Hz low-cut filter to reduce unwanted ambient noise and vibrations or room reverberation.

Finally, the AT8024 features a non-detachable cable with a 3.5 mm stereo L-shaped connector. A clip on the shock mount secures the cable, reducing strain and thus minimizing vibration noise.
The microphone comes with both a foam windscreen and a synthetic fur windscreen.

Switchable Mono/Stereo Position:
Mono cardioid-line and internally matrix center-side stereo modes allow you to focus recording on a single sound source or widen the field for incredible sonic realism.
In both modes, the AT8024 delivers significantly better sound than the video camera’s internal microphone.
