The Fujifilm XF 8-16mm F2.8 R LM WR is an ultra-wide-angle zoom lens, equivalent to 12-24mm, that offers a constant maximum aperture of F2.8 for consistent performance throughout the zoom range. The optical design incorporates six extra-low dispersion elements, including three Super ED elements, which help virtually eliminate chromatic aberrations and color fringing for greater clarity and color accuracy. Four aspherical elements are also used to suppress distortion, field curvature, and spherical aberrations for enhanced sharpness. In addition, a Nano-GI coating helps control ghosting and flare for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in bright lighting conditions.
