The DPA Microphones 6066 CORE Omni Subminiature Headset Mic (Microdot, Beige) is a lightweight, fully adjustable, omnidirectional headset microphone made of stainless steel. Its barely noticeable dual-ear design provides a very comfortable wearing experience for presenters and performers, while the tiny 3mm microphone capsule delivers broadcast-quality sound that meets demanding professional standards.
The 6066 adapts to the wearer using 3-point ear hooks with spring-loaded mechanisms that grip comfortably above and below the ears and on the side of the head for added security. The two-way adjustable boom arm (length and height) features an anti-rotation mechanism that facilitates precise positioning of the tiny 3mm microphone capsule for optimal sound quality. A sliding locking mechanism secures the boom arm in place. Additionally, the 90° cable management system protects the cable from strain and routes it away from the wearer’s back, where it is out of sight.
DPA’s CORE technology is at the heart of the electret-condenser capsule, delivering ultra-low noise and a wide dynamic range, even though this capsule is 60% smaller than comparable DPA models. With a 144 dB SPL rating, the microphone is more than capable of handling speakers, singers, and presenters to deliver clean, transparent, and reliable sound for performances and presentations.
The 6066 CORE is powered by a 5-10V supply from a wireless microphone transmitter and features a modular design using a Microdot output connector. A foam windscreen, protective cover, makeup bag, and carrying case are included.
