Description
Introducing the DPA Microphones 4018ER
The DPA Microphones 4018ER is an ultra-compact microphone (35mm in length) with a supercardioid polar pattern and a smooth, even off-axis frequency response. This microphone delivers exceptional sound quality in a very small footprint. It is ideal for discreet or distant recording applications, such as desktop or suspended use.
The 4018ER supercardioid microphone combines the MMC4018 supercardioid microphone capsule with the MMP-ER/ES modular active XLR cable, an integrated cable solution with a rear-mounted cable entry. It is designed for music recording and long-distance sound reinforcement for broadcast, journalism, and film. It is ideal as a fill or suspended microphone for orchestral recordings when used with the included SM4000-C suspension mount. This allows the microphone to be suspended from the ceiling, creating a precise fill microphone for orchestral sections or ambiences.
The 4018ES offers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and is powered by 48V phantom power. Amicrophone clip and windscreen are included.
