Description
Introducing the DPA Microphones 4017B
The DPA Microphones 4017B is a versatile shotgun microphone that delivers impressive precision, clarity, and musicality. At just 210 mm long and weighing only 68 g, this microphone is one of the shortest and lightest shotgun condenser microphones on the market. The microphone is immune to RF emissions, and the 19 mm preamp is capable of withstanding sound pressure levels of up to 152 dB before clipping. It is also resistant to high-humidity environments.
The DPA Microphones 4017B shotgun microphone incorporates two filters, activated by a ring switching system. By simply rotating two rings, technicians can boost high frequencies (+4 dB at 8 kHz). This compensates for high-frequency losses when used with windjammers. A first-order low-pass filter below 120 Hz minimizes handling and wind noise. A permanent third-order high-pass filter at 50 Hz effectively eliminates unwanted low-frequency interference from handling and wind noise.
