The legendary AKG C414 microphone series needs no introduction. Since 1971, the C414s have been indispensable in most studios and have contributed to the recording of thousands of prestigious albums. On stage, they accompany tours by artists of all musical styles and are required for numerous instruments. They also equip a large number of reference broadcast setups.

The C414 XLS offers nine polar patterns to perfectly suit any recording environment. It features a three-frequency adjustable low-cut filter and a three-level attenuation circuit. For stage or fixed installations, its controls can be easily disabled to prevent accidental operation. An LED indicator also allows for the detection of even the briefest clipping episodes.

The C414 XLS retains the sonic character of the legendary C 414 B-ULS, the longest-selling reference model in the series. Designed to achieve a neutral and linear sound, it is the most versatile studio microphone of recent decades.

Widely used for the precise recording of acoustic instruments, the new C414 XLS combines its reference-quality sound with the latest construction technology for its acoustic and electronic components.
