Introducing the Roland V-1HD
With the Roland V-1HD, easily connect and mix signals from video cameras, smartphones, computers, tablets, Blu-ray players and all other HDMI video sources, with a simple press of a button or a subtle slide of the T-fader.
Entrances
The V-1HD mixer is equipped with four HDMI inputs, accommodating a wide range of equipment. The V-1HD supports 1080p/1080i/720p video resolutions. Devices delivering these signals can be connected regardless of their type. Progressive and interlaced signals can be connected for simultaneous use of 1080i and 1080p signals. HDCP allows you to play protected content from devices such as Blu-ray players.
Professional mixer
The Roland V-1HD features large, backlit buttons for intuitive operation, even in low-light environments. Red buttons indicate the currently playing source, while green buttons indicate the source that will be played in the next transition. The V-1HD also informs you of currently connected inputs by illuminating the corresponding input buttons. The V-1HD operates on the Preview/Program platform favored by broadcast professionals, ensuring flawless results. The TRANSFORMER buttons allow you to instantly change the video or apply an effect. Three transition selectors let you quickly change your mixing style to suit the broadcast situation. Transition effects include: CUT, MIX (4 types), and WIPE (30 types). Using the T-Fader and the BPM SYNC button, you can synchronize visuals to music. Use the FREEZE button to temporarily pause the incoming video. The OUTPUT FADE function allows for fade-ins to black or white.
Effects
Composition effects
Create composites with two images using the Picture-in-Picture and Split functions. Ideal for presentations or seminars. The V-1HD is also compatible with chroma key and luminance key, which are perfect for using green screens and incorporating all kinds of graphic overlays.
Filter effects with real-time control
Many of the visual effects popularized by the V-4EX and V8 are included. Use the A and B buttons to apply and adjust the effects to the A and B buses. Nine filter types are available, including silhouette, colorpass, negative, and finedge. Effects can also be triggered using the TRANSFORMER buttons for even more interactive visual possibilities.
Audio mixing
Discover a 12-channel digital audio mixer. The V-1HD can mix four stereo signals from the HDMI ports, the stereo line-level input, and a mic-level input. Each channel features a delay function (maximum delay time of 500ms) to synchronize video and audio. Reverb and mastering functions are available to adjust sound quality. The final audio mix is integrated into the video signal via the HDMI output, as well as the stereo audio output, allowing you to send it via jacks to a PA system or record it.
Menu and settings
The on-screen menu appears on the preview screen. It’s very easy to use via the buttons and the T-fader. Adjusting parameters and manipulating the audio mixer becomes child’s play.
Preview release
The 4-way multi-view preview screen displays all your sources on a single screen for convenient monitoring. A red border indicates the currently playing video, and a green border indicates the next one. Three viewing modes are available: Multi-View, Output, and Preview. The on-screen display can be turned on or off.
Software Control
You can remotely control your mixer via a USB-connected PC, Mac, or iPad using the V-1HD RCS app. The app provides a detailed view of the V-1HD and allows you to mix video, mix audio, and change parameters. You can also control the V-1HD with a musical instrument or sequencer via the MIDI input. It also transmits MIDI through USB, allowing you to map its controls to external software.
