Introducing the Audio Technica BPHS2

Created specifically for news and sports broadcasting, the Audio-Technica BPHS2 rugged stereo broadcast headset delivers highly intelligible speech reproduction, along with a comfortable fit and excellent noise isolation. Its discreet, closed-back, on-ear design is based on the ATH-M60x professional monitoring headset and includes the same large-aperture 45mm drivers, memory foam ear cushions, and premium construction, providing users with a high-fidelity headset built to last.

The headset’s hypercardioid dynamic microphone centers the pickup on the commentator’s voice, even in noisy environments, and is custom-designed to reproduce that voice with rich broadcast sound. The microphone is mounted at the end of a rigid boom with a sturdy, flexible gooseneck section, allowing for easy adjustment and securing the microphone in place. The boom is also designed to pivot forward and backward, so the headset can be worn with the microphone positioned on either the left or right side.

The headset comes with a detachable 3.3 m cable (BPCB2) featuring a TA6F connector on the headset and, on the output side, a 3-pin XLRM connector for the microphone and a 6.3 mm connector for the headphones. An unterminated version of the cable (BPCB3) is available separately.

Other versions available: broadcast-type stereo headset with cardioid condenser microphone (BPHS2C) and broadcast-type single-ear headset with hypercardioid dynamic microphone (BPHS2S).
