Introducing the AJA Io X3

The AJA Io X3 is a professional Thunderbolt 3-connected video and audio input/output device that offers HDR or 2K/HD SDR capture and output via 3G-SDI and HDMI. It streamlines high-quality HDR I/O up to 2K/HD60p on Thunderbolt 3-enabled Macs or PCs running professional video and audio applications.

The Io X3 provides a powerful solution for single- or multi-channel SDI workflows, offering 2K/HD/SD HDR I/O directly from any laptop or workstation. Fast, flexible, and quiet, this capture and output device is ideal for a range of production environments, including high-end color grading, audio mixing, monitoring, on-set playback, as well as remote editing and visual effects.

It features four independent inputs for workflows with OBS and Wirecast, as well as simultaneous MultiView monitoring for each source. It’s also perfectly suited for streaming. It also has eight switchable analog audio ports, allowing you to switch between eight input or output channels, or split the connectivity between four inputs and four outputs. Up to 16 audio channels are included on each SDI port and eight channels via HDMI. Compact, portable, and rack-mountable, the device can easily be placed alongside another Io X3 in a rack for studio, OB van, or video assistance needs, giving you up to eight channels of 2K/HD/SD I/O in a 1RU.
