The RØDE NT5 is a cardioid condenser pencil microphone. Designed for recording acoustic instruments, such as drum overheads, cymbals, and for live performance, this externally polarized microphone features a 1/2″ capsule and an active J-FET impedance converter with a bipolar output buffer. Its tight cardioid polar pattern also makes it ideal for recording dialogue in the studio, whether mounted on a stand or boom pole. An optional omnidirectional capsule (NT45-O) is available for the NT5. Finished in a durable satin nickel, the NT5 is available individually or in a matched pair. The NT5 is designed and manufactured in Australia and is backed by RØDE’s outstanding 10-year warranty.
